This Privacy Policy explains what information Budweiser Distributing Co. (“BDC”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Budweiser Distributing Co. (also known as BDC Beverages) is a family-owned wholesale beverage distributor based in Amarillo, Texas. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.
This website is informational. It describes our company, the brands we distribute, our community programs and job opportunities. There is no online store: you cannot buy products, create an account or log in as a visitor, and we do not run a newsletter through this site.
Job applications. If you apply for a job using our online application form, we collect the information you enter, which may include:
Emails and calls. If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and message.
When you submit the application form, our website creates a PDF of your answers and emails it, together with any résumé you attached, to our hiring team at BDC. The PDF and the uploaded résumé are deleted from the web server as soon as the email has been sent; applications are not stored in a website database. To protect the form from spam and abuse, it uses a short-lived security cookie and keeps a one-way (hashed) version of your IP address for about one hour to limit repeated submissions.
After that, your application is kept in our business email and hiring records and used only to evaluate you for employment, contact you about your application and meet our legal obligations. Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview or an offer of employment.
Server logs. Like most websites, our web server and hosting provider automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems, and they are kept for a limited time.
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:
bdc_age_ok): remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or older so we do not ask again. It expires after 30 days.bdc_jobapp): a session cookie used only on the application form to protect it against forged submissions. It is deleted when you close your browser.cookiez-user-consent): our cookie consent tool (Cookiez by Elementor) remembers your cookie choices so the banner does not appear on every visit. It expires after 180 days.Your cookie choices (opt-out). Essential cookies are always on because the site needs them. Analytics cookies, when analytics are active, are on unless you opt out. You can opt out at any time:
Google Maps. Our Contact page shows an embedded Google map. When that page loads, Google receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies. Google’s use of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Analytics. We may use Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site (for example which pages are popular). When it is active, Google sets analytics cookies (such as _ga) and collects information like pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We do not use this data to identify you, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Emails sent by our WordPress website (for example notices to site administrators) are delivered through Elementor’s Site Mailer service, which processes the email content and addresses only to deliver the messages. Job application emails are sent from our web hosting server’s mail system.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only:
Our brand pages link to the websites of the companies that make those products, and we link to our Facebook page. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Our alcohol-related content is intended only for adults of legal drinking age (21 or older). Our Careers page and job application are open to job seekers of legal working age. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Uploaded application files are deleted from the web server right after they are emailed. We keep job applications and other messages only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by employment and other laws. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), spam and abuse protection on our forms and limited access to the information we receive. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us more sensitive information than the application asks for.
You can contact us to ask what personal information we have about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. We will respond as required by applicable law, including Texas law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep some information when the law requires it. You can manage cookies as described under “Cookies and similar technologies” above, including through the Cookie preferences link in the website footer.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Effective” date above.
